It does not have any rounds or checkpoints. On February 25, 2021, the game was changed to only contain 17 of ObrenTune's sections. One month after the game was released, THE Tower of Hell was created as a more difficult substitute to the game, containing all regular sections of the game. The game was also nominated for the Mobile Game of the Year award, losing to Welcome to Bloxburg. The game won a Bloxy Award for Best Round-Based Game at the 7th Annual Bloxy Awards event. The game is somewhat derived from ObrenTune's former game Kiddie's Towers of Hell (later renamed to Obren's Inferno: Reborn), an obby game where players must complete multiple different towers with no checkpoints, similar to Tower of Hell. When a player completes a tower before the timer resets, they speed up the timer. The game's objective is to reach the top of a randomly-generated tower which resets every eight-minute round.

Tower of Hell is a round-based obby game created by PyxlDev and ObrenTune of YXCeptional Studios.
